Nothing else in this world has been a fulfilling accomplishment than to make her smile like this…I love her.

I had a conversation about adolescence with my best friend today; It made me realize the exponential benefit of being late bloomers. As we spoke, I thought, not just physically, rather psychologically and spiritually.
Growing up, I had little interest in my studies, sleeping in and skipping class; today, you must turn off the library lights to pull me away from a delightful piece of literature.
I was impulsive, narrow-minded, and terribly naïve. Learning to trust my instincts and focus on intuition has become one of my greatest assets.
Speaking to a beautiful girl was terrifying, let alone telling my parents about a crush…yet less than 24-hours ago, I had an enlightening conversation with my mother about an enchanting young woman whom I approached and innocuously conversed as we waited in line at a concert entrance.
Being a late bloomer came with some detriment, however the silver lining arrived in form of appreciation for what most acclimated themselves so many years ago, now most taking it for granted. I look forward to the continuing lessons, personal growth, as life transforms me into the man I once dreamed of becoming.
A thought…
