The Benefits of Eating Healthy
I think most people have given healthy eating a bad rep. Not in terms of actual health, but because it’s so hard. It’s only as hard as you make it! Just like with most things in life. I’m gonna name a few benefits to eating healthy just to show you what most people in our day and age are missing out on. I’m also gonna give you a few tips to help you start your journey into the healthy eating land.
Benefit #1: When you’re eating a healthy balanced diet you are supplying yourself with the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals that make up your body and helps keep it running at premium performance. Think of your body as a machine. But this machine is so rare! There’s only one edition of it so that means you need to treat it with TOP CARE.
Benefit #2: Healthy eating can solve a lot of your stress related problems. If you’re feeding your body with crap, it’s gonna cause you to feel like crap. If your diet is awful, your mood 9 times out of 10 is going to be awful. Eating healthy helps your hormone levels stay in good order. You have a much better outlook on life and won’t be slowed down by sluggish performance.
Benefit #3: Eating healthy makes you glow. Literally it brings out the vibrancy in your inner self. You can throw away those expensive skin care products and get your skin much more clear and natural once you start feeding yourself with the right foods. Your hair, nails and even eyes will become much better and eating healthy can delay aging. Who DOESN’T want to delay aging!? I know I do!
Benefit #4: Eating healthy is a good example to your children. Yes, it’s so easy to go out and grab some food from a fast food place, but it’s also very easy to eat healthy and cook at home too and can provide some bonding moments for family. As an adult when you eat healthy, you’re teaching your kids good eating habits and that is very important because the children are the future. More and more children are becoming obese causing an epidemic of predictions of life expectancy to be lower than their own parents! Also by feeding yourself with good foods you lower the risk of giving an infant a health related disease, such as cancer, diabetes or any other sickness you can think of. A baby is only gonna be as strong as the mother that gave him/her life. If you don’t want to get healthy, at least do it for your children.
Here’s a few tips to get your on the right track to eating healthy.
Don’t try and go cold turkey on the usual stuff you’ve been eating if you can’t handle it. Ease up into the healthy lifestyle because if you just change everything at once and you don’t like it, it can be very discouraging essentially making you go back to your bad eating habits.
Moderation is key. You do not have to eat healthy 100% of the time. Have a few allowances to eat “Dirty”. But do not binge. Enjoy it but do not have an all out splurge. That can become a bad habit.
Do not diet, unless you’re a fitness competitor, you don’t need to diet. Just eat balanced and stay on track. Diets often don’t teach you how to eat properly for life. Often helping you reach your goals, but stopping once you reach it. That can often lead to even more weight gain putting you back into the same position you were in before.
